Pacific Tower 1200 12th Avenue S., Suite 110 Seattle, WA 98144Description
Healthy Building Network – HomeFree is excited to continue our partnership with Housing Development Consortium and Capitol Hill Housing with the support of the Bullitt Foundation. Join us and connect with national experts and local practitioners to learn about best practices, share your experience in healthy material selection, and discuss the real and practical challenges of building design and funding in affordable housing.
Capitol Hill Housing will give a project update on the Liberty Bank Building and discuss opportunities they have found to integrate healthy materials into their work. The presentation will highlight their experience using HomeFree to select healthy, affordable building products, what they are learning as construction progresses, and discuss challenges and lessons learned throughout the project.
Healthy Building Network’s HomeFree team will give an update on current and future work, including a review of updated material hazard spectrums for paint and flooring, and a sneak peek at what’s on the horizon in the coming months. HomeFree is a HBN initiative supporting affordable housing leaders who are advancing human health through the use of healthier building materials, while enhancing building performance.
Time for Q&A, discussion, and opportunities for participants to share their experiences with healthy materials will occur throughout the hour.
This free event is for developers, operators, architects, contractors, innovators, and industry leaders in the affordable housing sector.
Through the generous support of the Bullitt Foundation, registration for this event is free.
